The Sweetness of Winter

Last night it snowed over 12 inches! So I jumped at the chance to play with my cameras and my nephew in the snow. We plan on sledding by the light of tiki torches later this evening with my whole family. I love this time of year, it brings the child inside out!

Hannah Violet Music Video in Las Vegas,

What do you do when
you are going to Vegas for WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers
International)? Well, if you're Sarah DiCicco Photography, you organize a music
video in the desert, with a vintage car. Wouldn't you??? I know it sounds
crazy, but it was amazing! Hannah Violet is a very talented country singer and
songwriter. You can hear her music on some of my slideshows and at www.hannahviolet.com.
She is recording a new album and I convinced her to pack up and head out to
Vegas while I was out there. It was easy to convince her (she is also my
sister). The hunk in this video is Jeremiah James, who said "yes", as soon as
Hannah asked him (on short notice) to come to Vegas. He chased her down in the
middle of the desert while driving a vintage "Pontiac Star Chief".
So,we had everything… the talent; the location; the makeup artist (Jenna) and
the music! Now, what do you do when you need the best cinematographer to shoot
this amazing video? You call Dave, at Dave Williams Films. Dave pulled through
again for us and it was great to see him and his crew do their thing. I'm so
excited to see the video. The music video crew was Abad Rosa, Jordan Oplinger,
Matthew Jappsen and Dave Williams. Thank you everyone and look for “Take Two"
of this posting, for the video and images from our second day of shooting.

Joan; my friend, client and unofficial PR Director, invited me out for a wonderfully, fabulous treat. She took me to dinner at the Palm Beach Yacht Club. It was really great to have wonderful conversation and out of this world lobster risotto, in such a picturesque setting. It was nice finding out how much Joan and I have in common. I wanted to say thank you, 10 times over, for an evening to remember!
Turning 30!

Ahhh, Who knew it was going to be so hard to make time to turn 30! My darling husband waited over a month for me to pick a date to have dinner with our friends! With a date chosen we went to the restaurant Tequila in Philadelphia! I have been wanting to go there for over a year! We were joined by our closest friends! With my actual birthday falling on St Patrick's Day, we always go to the Peanut bar to see my dad play the fiddle in an Irish Band. A lot of people gasp for air when they turn 30, but I am truly excited for it! I accomplished so much in my 20's that I can only imagine what is in store for the future! Thank you to my wonderful husband for your patience, love and unwavering ability to make me laugh daily!

When Tony and I were in Venice Beach, California we stayed with very dear friends, Farrah and Joey. Farrah is a talented fashion designer and her handsome fiancé, Joey, owns a couple of stores in Fred Siegel, Santa Monica. Joey's Conveyor store in Fred Siegel has been among the top in mens' fashions for years. With their ability to carry the most hard to locate sneakers, Joey and Farrah have made quite a name for themselves. Converse even designs custom shoes for their one of a kind store. The week we spent in Venice Beach consisted of lobster, ''Grammy' parties, champagne, wedding planners, magazines, photo shoots, Disneyland, coastal drives and meeting with new California clients!

Here are some fun photos that I took while we were in California on our trip.

The Cottage

I thought I would share some images of our little place in the country. After you see these pictures, you can see why we live where we do! The Farm is 200+ years old & is where I grew up with my two sisters. I am extremely fortunate to have two loving close families: Tony's and mine! Almost 5 years ago, just before Tony and I were married, my parents decided to turn the wagon shed into a cottage for one of us girls. With me being the first to marry, I grabbed it! This past Christmas my younger sister Hannah gave me the gift of the cottage for another year... I don't think she realizes that Tony is never leaving! Okay, so I still live at home, but who wouldn't when you have a family like I do? Two weeks ago we had a sleepover for our nieces and nephews. With a total of 7 in the group, and 1 on the way, we knew it was going to be a blast! The night was filled with Pizza, S'mores and a number of movies. A sleepover at the cottage is never complete until we take a hike in woods, mostly because the lack of space indoors! We would not have it any other way!
