When Carla called me for her wedding to Damien, we more than just hit it off. After hearing about their gorgeous plans for their destination wedding in St. John, I realized this was not going to be an ordinary wedding. [more]

So, when the wedding plans began, they wanted to keep it simple. However, sometimes simple is hard to pull off. When the plans were underway for their destination wedding in St. John, the guest list started growing and growing. The only solution: a wedding for two! Alana, the planner at Caneel Bay, did a beautiful job of bringing the ideas and dreams Carla was envisioning to life!

Carla and Damien had decided to have their wedding at Caneel Bay in St. John. The wedding was all about luxury and details. Carla wore a fabulous Monique Lhuillier gown with the most amazing pair of Jimmy Choo shoes! Damien looked very handsome in a tailored suit by Dolce and Gabbana and David Yerman cufflinks.

We started the day with makeup by Kristina, she did a fabulous job. Once in their attire, they saw each other for the first time in the " stone ruins " of Caneel Bay. That is always my favorite moment! We then jumped in a cab, and headed for town. We headed to some absolutely beautiful local spots with bright colors and local vendors. We had to make the first stop be at Woody's bar. This was the couple's favorite hangout. We then stopped at a small bar in a parking lot for the local taxi drivers. It is not illegal to drink and drive, just illegal not to wear your seatbelt!

We could not head back to Caneel Bay without first stopping at the local basketball court. Damien played college basketball, it is a big part of his life, so it seemed only fitting that he hit the court in his wedding day attire. Damien gave Carla the basketball to make a shot, and she did just that, surprising everyone.

Once we were back at Caneel Bay, we headed to Turtle Bay for the ceremony. The sound of the steel drum roll over the hill, with the sound of the waves breaking on the rocks was absolutely beautiful. As Carla walked towards her groom, you could see the most beautiful smile on her face and Damien could not take his eyes off of her. After the vows were said and the rings were exchanged, we headed down the hill to start dinner. Carla and Damien stopped to take in the views and the lighting was absolutely glowing. In that moment, it was really beautiful to see Carla and Damien taking in the moment and the scenery around them.

The romantic dinner for two was held in the stone ruins at Caneel bay. What could be better than enjoying filet and lobster tail, surrounded by candlelit stone archways and swaying palm trees, with the love of your life? They enjoyed their first dance to the sounds of the steel drum. Carla and Damien had the most beautiful little cake I have ever seen. The pastry chef of Caneel Bay had created a beautiful white cake covered in tiny white pastry flowers. It was more than Carla could have imagined. After dinner was over, Tony and I took Carla and Damien back to Woody's bar to finish off a perfect evening.

Tony and I were so honored to be the only people allowed at such an intimate wedding. We had such a wonderful time getting to know this beautiful couple and their story. We spent the day after the wedding with Carla and Damien on the beach outside our rooms. While Tony and Damien debated the chances of seeing a shark, I gave Carla a one-on-one photography lesson. When we left the resort, we had a sense of sadness. We are so blessed that our clients always become our friends. This was especially true with Carla and Damien!

Carla and Damien planned a beautiful sunset dinner for two on the beach at Caneel Bay. [more] The light was so beautiful and so was Carla and Damien! As the sun set and Carla & Damien sat for dinner, it was really fun to watch them. With the moments of the wedding day on the horizon, you could tell that they were savoring every moment!

Carla & Damien Part 2 - Super Sexy Photo-Shoot Caneel Bay St. John

Carla and Damien were a little shy about being in their swimsuits, but to be photographed in your swimsuit is an entirely different story, they were terrified. [more]As you can see, they have nothing to be worried about! We had a blast running around on the white beaches of Caneel Bay, St. John for an hour before breakfast. These two love birds took direction very well. At one point, while Carla was sitting in the sand, Damien stated " I can't work like this, bring in the next model." It did not take long before we had the attention of fellow beach bums and they were positive this was a hired pair of models! Not a bad assumption!

You might remember this stunning Hollywood couple from the sexy photo-shoot in Malibu I had photographed this past February. The only thing that might look a little different is the color of Alyssa's hair. She is back to her roots in more ways than one! Alyssa just finished shooting a recent movie before the wedding in which she starred as a brunette. Alyssa and Josh are from New York, so they left the West Coast for a Fall Wedding at home and Alyssa returned to her blonde hair color.[more]

Alyssa & Josh's wedding took place in Cooperstown, New York at the Farmers Museum with a beautiful reception to follow at the Otesaga Resort Hotel. As Alyssa filled me in on all of the wedding plans, I became more and more excited waiting for their day to arrive. I truly had the photographer's dream. A movie star couple comfortable in front of the camera and all of the fall colors in upstate New York. I had perfect locations scouted out and then we got the weather forecast... RAIN and Lots of it! My only hope was that the sky would be clear for portraits.

While the girls were getting ready, I could tell Alyssa was so worried about the weather. So I told her not to worry, the rain was going to stop and we WERE going to get the amazing shots she dreamed about! It was actually really sweet; Josh was organizing board games in the lobby for all of the guests so they could have some fun indoors. As the rain came down, the guests boarded the trolleys and made their way to the Farmers Museum, less than a mile away. I began photographing Alyssa using the window light (even though it was very dark outside) and just as I started snapping away I could see a small sparkle in her eyes start ever so softly and then this beautiful ray of light was shining right on her face... Beautiful!

We headed out to the ceremony and the rain was holding off. The Farmers Museum is an outside Museum of historic landmark buildings that have been relocated to create a small town. Set on the edge of rolling hills and a gorgeous lake, it was beautiful! The ceremony was so exquisite that I was moved to tears! During their vows they filled in the end of this sentence twenty different ways: " I love you because... ". Like a good movie, you know it was perfect if it makes you laugh & cry at the same time! Their dog was even the surprise ringbearer! Following the ceremony and the Lavender toss, they made their way onto a carousel for the champagne toast and a ride. The fog rolled in just in time for portraits!

The cocktails were held on the back porch of the Otesaga with heaters roaring and the crisp fall evening setting in, it was going to be a great night. The reception room was glowing with candlelight and I especially loved their favorite movies quietly playing on the back wall. Not only did Alyssa & Josh jam out to the Red Hot Chili Peppers for their first dance, but Josh took to the stage with an amazing performance on the drums. Between the photo-booth and cigars, the guests were well entertained for the entire night.

Hannah Violet Music Video in Las Vegas,

What do you do when you are going to Vegas for WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International)? Well, if you're Sarah DiCicco Photography, you organize a music video in the desert, with a vintage car. Wouldn't you??? I know it sounds crazy, but it was amazing! Hannah Violet is a very talented country singer and songwriter. You can hear her music on some of my slideshows and at www.hannahviolet.com. She is recording a new album and I convinced her to pack up and head out to Vegas while I was out there. It was easy to convince her (she is also my sister). The hunk in this video is Jeremiah James, who said "yes", as soon as Hannah asked him (on short notice) to come to Vegas. He chased her down in the middle of the desert while driving a vintage "Pontiac Star Chief". So,we had everything� the talent; the location; the makeup artist (Jenna) and the music! Now, what do you do when you need the best cinematographer to shoot this amazing video? You call Dave, at Dave Williams Films. Dave pulled through again for us and it was great to see him and his crew do their thing. I'm so excited to see the video. The music video crew was Abad Rosa, Jordan Oplinger, Matthew Jappsen and Dave Williams. Dinner at the Palm Beach Yacht Club

Joan; my friend, client and unofficial PR Director, invited me out for a wonderfully, fabulous treat. She took me to dinner at the Palm Beach Yacht Club. It was really great to have wonderful conversation and out of this world lobster risotto, in such a picturesque setting. It was nice finding out how much Joan and I have in common. I wanted to say thank you, 10 times over, for an evening to remember!

When I planned my own wedding in Mexico, I can't tell you how often I picked up the national magazine; Destination Wedding and Honeymoon! Now, the editors of the magazine have asked to include one of my images, from Krissy and Kyle's Ocean City wedding, in their current issue. This is a great magazine and the current issue was just released!

Super Sexy Photo Shoot

This fall we will be photographing Alyssa & Josh's wedding in upstate NY. With both Alyssa and Josh being actors, you can say camera shyness was never an issue. I am totally in LOVE with these images! With wardrobe packed into a suitcase, we headed for the beach at Paradise Cove, in fabulous Malibu. The trip was not all work, after the shoot we enjoyed oysters (my girlfriend Farrah taught me that you only have oysters in months that have the letter �r" in them) and cocktails on the beach. Josh also taught me a little trick that I will be using a lot in the future. To avoid squinting in photographs, close your eyes and face the sun like you are tanning, for 30 seconds. This lets your eyes adjust, without watering or squinting afterwards. Alyssa is finishing a role as a brunette, and once it is a wrap, she will return to the life of a blonde!

Josh recently had the lead in a Disney pilot called "Sunday Sunday Sunday," which would have aired on the Disney channel but didn't get picked up by the network. Josh has also appeared on "Criminal Intent" and starred on "Without a Trace" in last year's Christmas episode as the Guest Lead.

Alyssa is finishing up filming an independent feature film called "The Fall of 1980," in which Alyssa is starring as one of the lead roles. Alyssa also appeared on "Trial by Jury" and again as a Guest Star on FOX's show called "The Jury,", as well as "Guiding Light,"

Both Alyssa & Josh have been Guest Stars on "Law and Order" and have preformed in theatre. Alyssa in "Pride and Prejudice" in NY, and Josh most recently was Off-Broadway in "My First Time."

Tea with Veronique

While in LA, our good friend Anne put us in touch with Veronique, from Veronique Events. Veronique is an incredible wedding designer from France, who now lives in�Beverly Hills with her family. Veronique's Beverly Hills Boutique is stylish and inviting! She is now offering the one�thing a bride wants more than anything; simplicity� With a celebrity stylist and florist in-house, making you and your event breathtaking is what Veronique and her team do. Tony and I had a wonderful time getting to know Veronique. She is truly a woman of pure grace!

When Tony and I were in Venice Beach, California we stayed with very dear friends, Farrah and Joey. Farrah is a talented fashion designer and her handsome fiancé, Joey, owns a couple of stores in Fred Siegel, Santa Monica. Joey's Conveyor store in Fred Siegel has been among the top in mens' fashions for years. With their ability to carry the most hard to locate sneakers, Joey and Farrah have made quite a name for themselves. Converse even designs custom shoes for their one of a kind store. The week we spent in Venice Beach consisted of lobster, ''Grammy' parties, champagne, wedding planners, magazines, photo shoots, Disneyland, coastal drives and meeting with new California clients!

I have been photographing my friends Scott and Suzie Rehl for the past 7 years. I first met them through the Academy of Music, when I was an assistant to Alan Kolc. When I was scheduled for a wedding this past March in Palm Beach, I called Scott & Suzie to let them know I was going to be in their area that time of year. Nevis, West Indies Wedding

A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by my bride Katie who lives in Boston with her now hubbie Scott. In less than three month's Katie and Scott planned a stunning wedding held at the�Botanical Gardens�and�Montpelier Plantation. Nichole and her crew at Montpelier did a fantastic job!�

The friends and family, of Katie and Scott, were tons of fun and I had a wonderful time getting to know them. The whole wedding extravaganza was filled with: Welcoming Party's, A Bonfire Rehearsal, and Heartfelt "I Do's" on the Wedding Day. A great little tradition in Nevis is doing a champagne toast�when the cake is served... I can think of nothing better!
